I’m a smoothie addict. With the right ingredients, smoothies give you energy, provide you with the right nutrients, and taste delicious. Here’s one of my favorite smoothie recipes:
1 cup frozen strawberries
½ a banana (or a whole one, if you want an extra banana-y taste)
½ cup (packed) kale
½ cup orange juice
½ cup almond milk (or soy milk or regular cow milk)
2 tablespoons of your favorite protein powder
First, put strawberries in the blender. Then, add the kale and protein powder. Put the bananas on top. After that, add the liquids and puree until the smoothie is your desired texture.
The kale and protein powder are good for keeping your energy levels up, the strawberries and banana contain vitamin C and potassium, and the orange juice gives the smoothie just the right amount of tang.
